Replacing a windscreen isn’t always necessary and here at QwikFit Windscreens, we always try to repair a windscreen before replacing.
There are strict guidelines on when a windscreen can be repaired and when it has to be replaced. Your car may fail it’s MOT if the windscreen is chipped or cracked. The maximum damage size is 10mm in the drivers’ line of vision (a vertical strip 290mm wide centred on the steering wheel), 40mm elsewhere in the rest of the area swept by the wiper blades.
Quick and easy
Having your windscreen chip repaired is a quick process, often completed in as little as 30 minutes. We can repair your windscreen at a time and place to suit you, whether it be at work or at home, we’re 100% flexible around you.
More often than not, chip repairs are covered under your insurance policy, though we do suggest you contact your insurance company to confirm this. As an added bonus, it won’t even affect your NCB (No Claims Bonus).
At QwikFit Windscreens, we deal with your insurance company on your behalf – that means less hassle for you. All we need from yourself is details of your insurance company and policy details. There may be an excess which you have to pay, we’ll collect that at the time of the repair/replacement.
